7 september - more trout!

   went out and got 7 more today, measuring from 9 inches to 16 (measured this time!). upper carters pond again, just north of lewistown.....i think part of the confusion is that they are fairly deep-bodied compared to what i am used to catching up by havre and in the streams, so they seem bigger than they are. their dang heavy though.........2 of them snapped my line, which was 4lb test, but i think i caught one of them back. the second one that broke my line, i would hate to run into him (or her!) in a dark alley!

bait was grasshoppers, worms and powerbait!
also, we released two that were smaller and only hooked in the lip. they seemed to have suffered no ill effects due to their adventure.
