Every one is invited.

The only"BSB" ling Fling

At the mountain Palace FAS
At 4:30 pm on Jan 17 2009
The Moon is not quite right but it will go down at 10:00ish in the morning and won't come back up till after midnight.
I will have plenty of fire wood, a fire pit, lantern, and a 20 pound propane tank with a heater.
you will need ; Chair, warm stuff to weir fairly heavy tackle suited for COLD weather use( remember braided line will freeze on the reel)hooks( I use #2s) good size sinkers (3/4 oz)quick disconnect swivels( ling will swallow your hooks)Some kind of light, thats about it low -teck is better.Food if you want, it is 40 miles from GF ,so if you drink it's on your shoulders!!!
Sucker is the tuff part,I can't find any any one that has any PLEASE Bring it and shear. The minnows at Scheeles will work but they have to be dead to be legal and there a bit pricey,Worms are a poor second. Thats it I have never got a ling on any thing else!!!

Love to make it.  The drive is a little far but I am considering it.  I got my trap line out and would have to pull those traps as I must check the traps every 36 hours.

The drive only has two red lights between me and Grat Falls, unfortunately it is 1827.89 miles  one way!Cry

Enjoy, and hoist one for me.

WOW.  ebverything here inPA is frozen solid.

I had most of my traps on my trap line bedded with wax paper.  All were frozen.  So I pulled all today.  one CR way goneclean pulled out I guess, spent an hour hunting for it.  Lots of snow tore up but not 'ote?

One can Poach then in lemon water then dip the meat in garlic butter, or one might cut the meat in to bite size cubes and beer batter them and deep fat fry.

You have to skin then first like a cat fish.

To bad on the traps, we had some frozen in to the river here too but chipped them out. We had a Bob cat "Take" one away last year. That part of the river is close to a dam and the water comes off the bottom so it freezes very late in the year is ever.

it all so looks like it will be above freezing Saturday night !! WOW!!

That makes for a much nicer night fishing trip. I will have fire wood and a portable fire pit foe a nice fire, bring a lawn chair and a flash light. I do hope the wind behaves that night.
