Been awhile since we had a 10mm pistol thread.... Here's my two.... a stainless Colt Delta Gold Cup and a standard blued Colt Delta. Recently, had a Para-Ordnance .40 S&W barrel done up with a link so it can be used as a drop-in to either pistol. With Pachmayr grips as I like to shoot 'em...
With the factory Colt grips & Delta medallions:
Regards, Marcus.
A cool Delta studio shot that I like:
Different factory Colt Delta magazines:
Anybody else???? Thank you John M. Browning for the 1911 design.........
These would look cool, no?.....

Start your own thread.... Actually, for me it was a matter of practicality.... up here in the North, 10mm brass is hard to find and usually quite costly when so. However, .40 S&W brass is free for the taking, laying around most of the local ranges. [The local city & municipal cops all shoot .40 S&W]. So, it only makes sense to have a .40 S&W barrel for the Deltas. Might just get a second one made up and just shoot .40 in both. There you have it.....................

I was just trying to stir things on your thread. I've go no horse in the race.
My heavy handguns are hand cannons like the 375. I did 40 years ago hunt with the likes of 357 and 44 mags. Now only occasionally a 41 mag wheel gun. For carry I carry a 32 auto or 38 if night city duty is up then my m39 in 9MM with two clips is adequate. for me. If I could shoot a 45 1911, I'd probably own a Kimber....but I can't shoot it like I shoot the 32 colt pocket pistol or my 9mm double auto. Had an unlimited supply of 45 auto shells and tried my best, just isn't me. go figure. If I was in need of a 40 or 10mm, I's pick the 10mm solely on your lead, after all a guy with a '67 Mustang can't be anything but right. BEAR |

Nice guns.
I like'm both. My sig .40 as a carry sidearm. My long barreled IAI Javelina 10mm's currently loaded up as a hunting handgun.
