A 19 pound swan six foot seven inch wing spread.
 My boy did him in to day . DBB 12 gage 3" of dead coyote at 70 yards.

Nice bird, hope you get it mounted,  magnificant with the wings out stretched.

I'd not think of eating those swans.  Tried it once (actually twice, I'm thick headed).  They are like chewing rubber bands, with a slight rotting barn flavor.LOL  My throat would not let me swallow.

Congrats to your son 45.  Amazing birds, too bad I can't cook them to taste good.  I tried a couple different recipes on my first two, but to no avail.  Every one since then has gone throught the jerky shooter.

out antelope hunting yesterday north of chinook, a pair of swans flew very low and very slow directly overhead below a cloudless sky. i was able to see every feature and even individual feathers.

definitely up there among my top 10 most awesome hunting memories - too bad i didn't have my camera right there with me; but then again, i imagine i would have been too awestruck to take a picture.
