Well we went out to a friends place and took a walk around and got 1 duck and 1 pheasant. Missed about 4 ducks tho and just couldn't find all the pheasant. We know they are there but really need a dog. It was a blast tho. here are some pics.

I have a couple of good pheasant dogs you can borrow. You just have to let me come along too.

no problem...it seems to be great pheasant area around here. I am trying to get a english pointer from a buddy of mine in arizona. All his dogs place in the top 3 when he takes them to trials. I was always surprised how high and how often he placed with them. we shall see.

I would actually like a lab but i don't think for pheasant they would be very good. not sure tho.

I have a buddy that hunts pheasants with labs. He does pretty good. I prefer Pointers. They cover alot more ground. The idea of holding a bird until I get there is really cool. My buddys Lab flushes the bird then retrievs it.

Only thing is, a pointer dosen't do too good in a duck blind.

AllthemU's;  You bet Lab's can be damn good pheasant dogs.  Talk with Dakotasin, you'll find a lot of guys in S. Dakota hunting ringnecks with Labs.
