My boy just shot a banded duck! I've been hunting ducks 45 years and only shot one banded duck and that was way back when I was around 12.
We registered the band and got the word back. The duck was banded in Tilly,Alberta Canada. |

I've gotten a number of banded ducks, but way more banded geese. My oldest was a goose that was banded as an ADULT, 21 years before. It took 9 months to get a reply when I sent in the band number. I had cooked it after about 3 weeks after the kill, totally impossible to eat in any form. It was like chewing rubber bands, my throat refused to swallow. But I do like having the aluminum bands on my call landyard. Congratulations. |
