I picked him off this morning with my Weatherby 223 Rem and a 40 grain Hornady VMAX behind 27 grains of VARGET.Shot was at 160 yards after he come in to a LeMarr Game calls "Tweaked Squirrel".I love hearing that THWAP and muzzle blast from this little speedster VMAX.There is no doubt on a hit.He spun on the ground 3 times and got up headed for the brush.Found him piled up about 50 yards from where I shot him.Nice heart lung shot if I do say so myself...Heres a couple of pics,Maybe the last ones yall see of my 223 for a while.I have a 6mm Rem I am itching to start wasting yotes with..

one more.He was a young male, but he won`t be getting any older...

lol..Yup CB.Thats a big ole scope for sure. Most of my shots are under 100 yards with many at or inside 50 yards.Today was sort of strange,he come in way out and I just didn`t want to wait .I figured I would try him soon as he went desirable shot.I have shot this rifle to 325 yards on paper but usually most dogs fall real close to me..It does help knowing I can crank that scope on up if I need it though...
