   Hey CB900F, due to your recommendation of the Browning BPS, i looked it up. The thing is downright gorgeous and the msrp isnt too bad. Buying this will be cheaper than my muzzleloader. It looks wayyy nicer than anything i have ever seen from Remington. I am thinking about one in 20 guage, seeing as it is lighter in weight and in recoil, even though i am usually tougher recoil wise than my dad, who shoots a .300 Win Mag. I just like the 20 guage becuase it can take down all birds and i have experience with it.
I am going to go check out prices on www.gunbroker.com and see what they have for the beauties.

	Nh, Good choice. A 20 guage has as much power just a little shorter shot string. I also think they handle a little better. Wing master

	I was looking around on www.Gunbroker.com and i saw a couple Browning BPS Hunters in 20 guage with the 28" barrel. One was 382 dollars, and i am not sure about the other. Is 28" better than 26" on this gun? The 26" is lighter, but it is also a lot harder to find in a decent price range, or at least what i think is a decent one. There was one that was $427.77 but the 28" barreled ones were just as new and were cheaper. I would use this gun on some ducks, grouse, and generally what other birds that i can find and are in season. I would also use it for snowshoe hare hunting. NH_hunter

	NH; The 26" barrel is usually regarded as a quicker swing. If your primary concern is hunting upland bird, then the shorter barrel is what most hunters want. I think the BPS is available in 22" as well, possibly on a 'youth gun' though. If waterfowling is the primary hunting purpose then the 28" or 30" barrels usually come to the fore as giving a longer sighting plane & smoother swing for pass shooting. But it would be hard to go wrong with either the 26" or 28". Mine is a 26" & I like it a lot. I also considered that since you probably haven't reached your full growth yet, a 26" would fit you better. A new replacement barrel is about $200.00, and used ones can be found rather easily. Just make sure that they have the Invecta choke system on the used ones if you go that way. The earlier BPS's didn't have the replaceable chokes. Have you actually put your hands on one yet? 900F

	No one in my town has a BPS. I did put my hands on a Mossberg Maverick, with a 28 inch barrel in 12 gauge and the stock design was perfect for me. I closed my eyes and put it up to my shoulder and the sights were perfectly aligned. But of course my father has to be an elitest, so he wont let me put the money down and him sign the papers . It handled perfectly for me. NH_Hunter
