I was shooting some new rounds and the 139  Horn. kept giving the best groups in my new 7-08.  Made me a little angry since it was so ugly compared to the X bullet and BT.   But like they say, "beauty is only skin deep". thanks for the reply.

Bear,   have you worked up any loads with the 6.5 sst's for your 260 yet and if so, have you had the chance to check the performance?  I mean on paper and on meat

My take on this is pretty simple:  For velocities under 3000 fps (preferrably 2800 fps) , I use any of the conventional bullets and they all kill well for me.  The SST and BT to me are a wash in performance.  They are both accurate and terminal performance seems to be the same.  For any hunting class caliber where the velocity is over 3000 fps, I go to a premium bullet.  JMHO.
