That time of year.
Time to switch bullets in my 6mm.
Coyote/ Pdogs I use a Nosler ballistic tip 55 gr smoking hot.
They are not deer bullets.
I have to re-sight in for my Barnes 80gr tts ,them speed check at a little better them 3600 fps.
At 200 yards I need to go up 6 "clicks " on my Redfield and 2 clicks to the left to bring them to dead nuts zero.
Off a bench it will group around or slightly under an inch.
Out in the field off my tall Bi pods or over my pack It's an easy 2 inch group.
By the way it's an inch and a part high at 100 yards.
I always proof shoot it at 300 yards too.
With NO correction It is an average of 5 inches low at 300.
And again off a bench I can keep it in a 2 inchish group.
Bi-pods of off my pack I can keep it under 4".
Not Horrible, and defiantly dead deer .
I shot 3 rapidly fired like a " I need to kill this now deer" shot.
Pic.

I should one day get some kind of dedicated deer gun , maybe one day...
PS.
The 55 gr group a little better at 300 but are well over a foot low.
Remember: Four boxes keep us free ,the soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, AND the cartridge box

Will not be long now.

Will need to get my 6.5-08  checked in with 123 hornady.  I sight it in for 4 inches low at 300 yards.
