Just wanted to know the price or ball park price of a Colt 1903 Pocket pistol in either .25 or .32. I have one that I am thinking of letting loose. Wife won't let it in the house, due to it's age, and another reason. I'd say the gun is 60-65%.

Hudge;

Does it have a visible hammer, or not?  I'd venture to say it's probably hammerless given that you're not sure whether or not it's a .25 or .32.  If so, it is a .32, they didn't make it in .25 according to my best source.

The production run was 1903 - 1945.  In excellent condition, they'll be going for around $500.00 - 550.00.  But how are you coming up with this 60-65% condition?  Is that just the blue wear, or are there parts damaged, or changed, or missing?  How's the bore & general mechanical condition?  It's things like cracked or non-original grips, rust in the mag well, or a broken spring somewhere that can really affect the value.  Some are cheap & easy fixes too.

Basically, we need more info.

Somewhere made in 32 and some in 380.  the 380 generally go for more $$$ as it is more popular/powerful.  My guess is that 80 percent of those made were in 32 auto (actually a 30 caliber, still popular in Europe)

I've got 3 of them.   One is prestine and one holster worn.  I've had them for years and they were reasonably priced when I bought the last two.

very good but some holster wear  $25000-300 in 32 auto.

Perfect (excellent) $400-500 but only from a collector, add about $200 if it has the box and blowout sheet.

perfect working order but worn exterior $150-250.

There were a lot of these sold.  Almost all are perfect inside as they were not target quality and not powerful enough for hunting.  Ammo has alwasy been expensive.  I carry one of mine for CC, it is dolled out with custom grips and matches my tux cummerbund ( purple stain glass).

Hudge, these are really very fine pistols.  What does the wife have against it.  It is really a great ladies gun, no recoil, double action with a grip safety.  Would she like it more if she shot it?

I really don't need another one.  But if you are selling it be sure it gets a good home.  Even at the above prices they are a bargain.  If you PM me the serial number with XX for the final two digits, I'll give you the date of manufacture.

Bear, the wife was shot with it 12 years ago! I would never sale it, unless it was proven to me that the gun was safe, and then there would be stipulation on the sale. It is a .32, and yes the gun is hammerless. I want to say the date of manufacture was in 1909. I was mainly looking at value for insurance purposes. PM me, and I'll give you more on it.
