My girlfriends ex-husband who is mexican and her daughters boyfriend just got back from vacationing in Acapulco a couple of weeks ago. Here are some pics of their fishing trip while they were there. I have a video clip of one of the marlin being landed but i just have to figure out how to post it. This is Carlos and Kurt with the marlins that they nailed.
Here's a pic of Kurts tuna.
A couple of dolphins that tagged along for the ride for most of the day.

If you can sue McDonalds for getting you fat then why can't you sue the alcohol companies for all the ugly people you ended up sleeping with?

I know. How did they get the name marlin though? I always thought that swordfish was another name. Gary |

Gary they are all different species.
The IGFA recognizes PACIFIC and ATLANTIC Sailfish. Marlin have shorter(height) trailing dorsal fins, and are recognized as: Atlantic BLUE Marlin Pacific BLUE Marlin STRIPED Marlin (Pacific) White Marlin (Atlantic) BLACK marlin (Pacific) There are also 3 recognized species of SPEARFISH. These are smaller fish with shorter bills than the other billfish. LONGBILL Spearfish SHORTBILL Spearfish MEDITERRANEAN Spearfish The SWORDFISH, also known as BROADBILL Swordfish, is the only "billfish" which does not have a TRAILING Dorsal fin. Female (largest) Black and Blue Marlin and Swordfish grow well over 1000 lbs. You are forgiven for not knowing about these, since you live too far north ![]() |
