I posted this elsewhere but it really made me think of the 8x57. Maybe some e-mails to Hornady would make a powerful 8mm load quickly available, especially with the 2004 Classic coming in the 8mm????? Lots of us shoot 8mm rifles. And many bitch about the lower pressures that the factory stuff is commonaly loaded. Well for thaose who son't reload there appears to be a quick and easy answer. HORNADY Look at their Eurospec loadings: HORNADY EUROSPEC LOADING Now some of the loadings are nothing short of great, compare. 7x57 Mauser 139 gr bullet @ 2950 Us factory loads are usually listed at 2660fps Such loadings make the 7x57 mauser superior/equal to the 7-08, 284, 280, and only about 220 fps slower than the 7mm mag. Now we only need Hornady to come out with an 8x57 version to make the 2004 Remington classic in 8x57 come to life. Well, if .276 measures out to .318, maybe it was the 7X57. I just got the books down and checked.................Kingpin

There are times when a normal man must, spit in his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
