Or you can go with a cheaper Lee setup (AKA tomatostake reloader)

Fella's;

I've got Dillon reloading equipment, a fair amount of it.  It's damn good stuff.  I've also got one item of Lee.  It's good, it works, it's built to a price point & it shows.  I have no interest in aquiring or reloading for a .50BMG & a big reason is the cost.  However, if it were something that for whatever reason had to happen, I'd bite the bullet & pay for the Dillon.

However, I think I'd rather use my .338 Winchester magnum & shoot the reason that was trying to force me to spend that much money.

If I was to get a 50, I'd think abough getting an old cast iron press at a gun show, maybe a herter.  These cost about $20 with some rust!

Then I'd just rebore and tape the top of the O press to the 1.25 and tap.  Probably have to make or modify a shell holder but it would be well under $75 for the press, then add the Lee dies.  for the single and bolt 50s, I don't think mush would be needed.  If I got an Semi-Auto, then maybe the Dillion!

that's good thinking Bear.....some of those old Herters presses were hell built for stout!  If someone could afford the semi-auto .50 BMG they could afford the Dillon reloader.

CB....the Dillon IS good stuff!  Lee stuff works too.

I use a herters press. The only bad thing about it is it uses non-standard shell holders. RCBS does make an adapter.

I like it alot. Saw one at a gun show a couple of weeks ago for $12.00. I thought that was a pretty good deal.

I looked at it real close. I passed only because I don't need another press. It did look like new. No rust.

Tas has one just like it. I thought about him, but figured it would cost about six times what I paid for the press to ship it.
