Buddy of mine is looking for a Snake Charmer, chambered for both .410 and .44.  Anyone know anything about these or where he might find one.  Gunbroker.com was a bust.

They had a short life.  Personally, I thought it lacked in most catagories.

I see them relatively cheap at gun shows.  Be careful on the barrel length as State law changes have made most of them pistols.

I think the name "snake charmer" hurt sales, who hunts snakes, and who would carry a heavy/ugly 410 for a snake killer?

I had a SS one for awhile, used it as a camp gun ( or should I say I meant to ) I didnt think it preformed either of its functions well so I sold it. I do see them at gunshows sometime.

Got one stuck in the very back of the safe. Inherited it from my late father in law. About as usefull as tits on a turtle.

Barrel length is 18 inches plus a bit. Legal with the feds, some state laws require 20 inches on a shotgun. Texas doesn't, follows federal guidelines.

Standard 3 inch .410 chambering, it isn't a combo gun.

Also, to be classified as a shotgun, where 18" is the shortest leagal barrel for a shotgun, the overall dimention must be 26".

Loved the tits on a turtle comment, but do you know how to milk a turtle? From a very low stool............................Kingpin

Contender Pistol barrels come chambered in .45 colt/ .410. Perhaps that could be an alternative? RD
