got to eat two boar in 10 days, limited ice chest for an up north trip.

just got the first shoulder done.
not a recipe but:

-soaked in salt for a day in frig.
-marinated in my stuff; old Bay, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, curry powder, pepper, etc 24 hours.
-one bottle of Yingling, one bottle of Heinz barbecue sauce--in crock pot for 3 hours on high, 5 hours on low.

pulled it off 5 minutes ago.... ate as I pulled

dinner is vodka ( I already startde)
with lettuce salad, and corn on the cob.

great...need to shoot more hogs.

That sounds good Bear. Is it about the same as domestic pork?

What kind of Vodka? On the rocks?

It is just leaner, but taste like farm pork, maybe better.

I prefer potato vodka, no grain. So Luksusowa is my brand.
got a second ham soaking now. If anyone calls to hunt Monday, then Ill need an ice chest and some freight charges!

I am thinking a topping of a freezer full of deer and elk with a hog would be about right.
