got to eat two boar in 10 days, limited ice chest for an up north trip.
just got the first shoulder done. not a recipe but: -soaked in salt for a day in frig. -marinated in my stuff; old Bay, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, curry powder, pepper, etc 24 hours. -one bottle of Yingling, one bottle of Heinz barbecue sauce--in crock pot for 3 hours on high, 5 hours on low. pulled it off 5 minutes ago.... ate as I pulled dinner is vodka ( I already startde) with lettuce salad, and corn on the cob. great...need to shoot more hogs. |

It is just leaner, but taste like farm pork, maybe better.
I prefer potato vodka, no grain. So Luksusowa is my brand. got a second ham soaking now. If anyone calls to hunt Monday, then Ill need an ice chest and some freight charges! |

I am thinking a topping of a freezer full of deer and elk with a hog would be about right. Wing master |
