YUP only a month away. Almost every year around the first of the year we start to see a few gophers sticking there heads out of the snow. And the end of February We can see a quite a few Out on the calm sunny days, even when the snow is on the ground. Mostly in town gophers, the "country" gophers come out later. I have read that the early gophers are last years yearling males looking to stake out there claim on the prime property (a mating thing). This year nothing. That's not a good sign for us little doggy blasters. Prairie dogs on the other hand can be out all year and will come up to sun themselves on the calm winter sunny days. They are great sport and leave a perfect red cone of spray on the bright whit snow. We cant get to them as much because of the snow, dang it. we have hunted them on 4 wheelers and snow dog...
I'm ready the boy has me and the GD loaded with ammo and I laid in a GOOD supply of rim fire ammo.

LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD.Big smile

Don't kill all those gophers, I'd like to shoot some this year.

I haven't been out looking for prairie dogs yet this year. It's been too cold that last few weeks. I'm ready.

I wish we had gophers.
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.
