Big smile We got some new Hammer bullets to test in the GD's 6.5 Grendel. 92 power Hammer. We also got some 80 gr HHT hammers but they did not shoot well so they're out. We tried 3 different powders in groups of three none of which shot under 3" in the 80 gr. The 92's worked out much better we got one set that shot around a half-inch, and that's the one we will go with. I don't know the powder the boy does the loading, it is a different powder than what we use with the 123 sst's.
What interests me is the energy and speed comparison. The sst's were slower, as expected 2458 with 1649 ft pounds of kinetic energy.
The Power Hammer 92 gr was faster of course at 2840 fps and the kinetic energy 1648 was only 10 FP less than the sst's. I'm thinking out to 200 yards ish the 92s would be the better choice.
What's your take?

My information is from my Garman Xero c1 pro.

Yes, it is. They're great.
Just looking. They should be a little flatter.

I ordered some test bullets for her 7x57ai today.

.284 Cal-140gr Absolute Hammer™

.284 Cal-145gr Hammer HHT™

They are both appreciably longer. I just have to keep messing with them.

Assuming you sight in for zero at 225 yards...then what would be the difference between the two rounds???
