Same answer at every proshop I go to. "No, we don't have any lefty bows in stock, but we can order one for you." Well ain't that just perfect? How am I supposed to try a bow out and decide if I like it if I can't even try it out before I buy it? Guess I will just have to go by what I read on the internet, have the bow shipped to the proshop, and hope for the best. The Martin Bengal is looking really good right now. The only place I know of that has lefty bows in stock is Kittery Trading Post, which is a 2 1/2 hour drive, and the bows they have are PSEs, Parkers, and Reflexes.

What kind of bow are you wanting?  Do you  have a gander mtn in the area? We have one here, and they carry the Diamond bows by  Bowtech. I have seen more left handed bows in that store, than all the other archery shops combined.

There isn't a Gander Mountain within 300 miles of me that I know about. There are proshops scattered around, but the only large store like a Gander Mountain is Kittery Trading Post.

I have been ready up on various archery forums, and the Martin Bengal is supposed to be a lot of bow for the money. It is supposed to draw reaaaal smooth. I was on a board called archerytalk or some such, and a guy had a problem with Martin, and one of the guys who works for martin replied to him and got the situation straightened out right then and there.

There is a place nearby called Stearns archery that sells Hoyt, but I didn't see anything on Hoyt's website that really interested me. Their bows have so many holes in em it is hard to believe they don't break

NH;

I didn't take up archery decades ago.  And I'm still not takin' it up.  I do believe I'm on a winning streak here.

Or:

Question - Why are you beating your head against the wall?

Answer - Because it feels so good when I stop!

Advice - Put the money, time, and effort into something that has a higher reward factor.

I use this forum to partly release built up frustration. It makes me feel better. I know that once I do get a bow, and shoot a deer with it, the reward from that will be huge. I love to hunt. That is why I don't spend my money on a fishing boat. I can't stand fishing for more than an hour, but have no problem sitting on a rock in the woods for 2 hours and see no deer. I am fixing up the Savage .22 mostly because I want an excuse to be out in the woods more hunting squirrels. With a bow, I can deer hunt from September to mid December. I can bird hunt in October with my dad, and then from mid December to mid March I can rabbit hunt with the beagle. Before, I would go bird hunting a couple of weekends in October, Deer hunt from Nov 1 to Dec 5thish, and then rabbit hunt then on. With a bow that extends my deer hunting season (my passion) 2 months. Small game hunting is fun, but gives me nowhere near the enjoyment that big game hunting gives me.

Did you notice that the bear tag went up 7-10 bucks from last year? Used to be 5 bucks, now it is 12 or 15.
