This isn't a general tip more Mt specific. 1.Don't dress like a tourist.
2.You really don't need $250 dollar waders when it's ninety degrees in July and you never get out of the boat anyways. 3. Do not try and convince a local that it is time for him to leave a certain hole on the river because you are now floating thru and you paid a lot of money for the trip. 4. Do not spend the whole day using dry flies when there are no hatches just because it's the elitist way to fish. 5. Do not under estimate my ability to toss my lure dangerously close to your noggin even though you're across the river. 6. Understand that sounds carry on the river, I can hear your snide remarks about the fact I'm wearing gym shorts and water shoes and a tee shirt. See numbers 1 and 5.

I found out that when you take the wife fishing and she is also like fishing with a kid. If the fish aren't bighting she isn't having fun and wants to go home. also 30 LB braided Tess line on her pole saves lures and at the most would be broken hooks. Even thou 30 LB Tess on a ultra light pole while pan fishing or bass fishing is a little bit of an over kill but it saves me from moving the boat all the time to get her un snagged from shore or the bottom.

Never Ever take a Mormon fishing with you!....ALWAYS take TWO, cause if you just take one.....he will drink all your beer. If you take two...They will stand there and watch each other.

When you're fly fishing and some nerd casts a spinner right next to you get out of the water and everytime the nerd casts throw a rock near his lure and follow him upstream aways doing the same thing, maybe he'll learn some manners maybe not ,oh btw I'm usually armed when I'm fly fishing with a snubby belly gun.

I think I might know you - aren't you the same one that several fishermen invited to step out of the river onto a sandbar so they could give you some instructions on not casting your fly back towards everyone else fishing from the same bank, then getting upset when they tried to fish whilst you were drifting the pool? Slight Bristish accent, forty seven back casts before dropping your fly, totally moron? Yep, I thought that looked like you. |

At the fish cleaning shack when asked where you caught the fish an acceptable reply is , "In the mouth."

Tipping a size 22 black gnat with a garden hackle is acceptable if one keeps 1 or 2 for supper.
Go fishing as often as possible. We will all be dead longer that we lived. Show a kid how to fish and then let them make their own mistakes until they really learn. Edited by TCLouis |

I see you all are giving some Great Fishing Tips...
Seems 1 has been over looked...
If your ice fishing and want to really catch fish, Keep your Worms Warm and the only way to do that is Stick Em in your Mouth, they wiggle more and get the fish to bite faster
