turkey season is almost here !!!!!

  ok its a little over a mth. away for our season.. we have 4 hunts. the first 3 are about a week long and the 4 th. is 2 weeks. instaed of messing around with these dam birds for a mth. and a half we went for the first week. we have to put in for a permit.. we all put in for the first week. they had the drawing and the boys got the 1st week and i got stuck with the 2nd.. the kids will only get to hunt for the saterday and sunday of their hunt week. the wife will not let me take them out of school.  i get to go all week long , but i will have to drive every day..  hope to get a few.. if anybody gets a bird and arnt going to use the wings for anything nathan could use them. they wouldnt go to waste. he can get a bunch of feathers for making arrows and then use the wing bones for calls. we went to an archery show and they were selling them for 25 bucks a piece.

Well I'm getting itchy also- I drew 1st & 5th seasons- and am going to Texas betwixt them- my wife drew the 3rd season so we should have a few good days of hunting.

 I believe I saw a tom hopefully one I been chasing for 3 yrs- out fanning by self last week. Way up the ravine and all alone already.

 we were getting ready to start scouting this weekend, but man it is snowing like , like , like,  shit i wish it would stop !!!!!!! they dont plow the roads where we go and its a long way from the closest town to be stuck with 3 kids.
