I've been planning on getting a target rifle together for a while and want something with some power to really take advantage of it, I want the variable so it can be turned down if mirage gets bad. I'm thinking of buying scope first and using it on my 223 for now and then once I get the rifle ready swapping it over. Neither will probably happen in the next few months but this next spring I hope. I beleive someone here, possibly Dakota, had a 4200 8-32, just wondering what opinions on over all quality and clarity on max power settings. Next choice after that would be a Signature series, but is $100 more, wich is the main reason its choice #2 instead of #1. I would consider a loopy but they don't make one in the range I want, price would be way too much anyway I think. I could either get a lesser one and do a conversion, or find one that has been upped, but unless king wanted to give me a deal I doubt that would be in my price range either. Wishful thinking here though. Of course I could always just throw on the best right away and use a BSA

I can get you into a new 8-32 40mm A.O. Matte/Rainguard 4200 Elite for $412 plus shipping, or you can drive over and pick it up. I checked on the Burris and that's $210 more.

DD, that's a few bucks cheaper than SWFA's price even! I know whe talked about business before, I might have to take you up on that! Can you garauntee that price for a couple of months though .  Just for reference SWFA has the Signature for $520, interesting how prices very by distributor, Cabela's sells the signature for $729, Huge price differences, your right between the two.

I'll have to check but I think the price is good until Oct. 15. If you give me the excact model # on the Siginture I'll look it up again. They have different objectives, cross hairs , finishes, etc. I should be able to beat SWFA on just about everything except BSA, I wouldn't want to be responsible for that.

You mean you wouldn't sell me a BSA?? Why not?? lol

The signature I was looking at was model # 200867. Target knobs and Fine plex.

Tas or Dakota, not sure if either of you mind us talking future business, I doubt it, but if so it can be removed from the open forum. If nothing else it might catch the eye of others and be a nice first hand addition to the good/bad guys list

BK 8-32 is a good choice in a variable for most F class style shooting.I can't help much on US prices but I have to outlay 1550 OZ for a nightforce 8-32.

Best advice is buy the best you can because 32 power on a cheaper scope ain't real great.
