Hey guys.... I bought the boat last night. Goin' fishin' this afternoon! The wife and yellow lab are going too. I think we're gonna spend more time riding around and swimming though. I think we'll go out Sat. too. If y'all don't hear from me for a while, you know where I am.
Oh, I almost forgot. The guy that I bought the boat from threw in TWO ladder type tree stands. Man, I'm as happy as a guy with a new boat .
hope you find a tree on the lake for the stands. Probably why the guy sold the boat, he could never find a straight tree on the lake to put his tree stands up.

The weekend was a blast. We went out Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon (had to do yard work on Sat. ). We just rode around on Sunday... just burning gas and had fun. Friday was a real blast though. We took Sally (or yellow lab, golden retriever mix) with us on the boat. My wife bought a life jacket for Sally and a 20 ft tether. As soon as we stopped in a cove, Sally flew off the back of the boat and started swimming.... pulling the boat at one point. We had a blast swimming around with her. Next time we're gonna take a disposable waterproof camera and get some pics.... then I'll post 'em.

Moose, I had a row boat once, with a small outboard. A guy asked me why I bought a boat, since I couldn't swim. I told him that that was exactly why I bought it, if I could swim, I wouldn't need a boat. He just walked away confused. Tell us when you start drowning worms though................Kingpin
