Well. just got home to discover a package between the doors. Looked at the label and lo and behold, it is from Leupold!

It is right at two weeks since I sent my old M-7 in for a check up. It was still clear, no problems, but I did want to change the reticule to a "duplex" style. Upon opening the package, I looked and found paperwork included. New objective lens, new erector, new seals, cleaning and purging AND duplex reticule! Price? 20.00 for the ret. change.

   I am one happy guy!!!

Not bad, chock up another point for Leopold. I wonder if they replaced the objective lense to give you more up to date coatings. It might even seem clearer, maybe easyier to see at times when looking into the sun.

Stupid people are like a slinky, they don't serve much purpose in the world but they sure are fun to watch tumble down the stairs!

As soon as I unboxed it I headed outdoors and it does actually seem clearer. Then again maybe there may have been a scrath or scratches which I couldn't see. I need to read the paperwork further. Looking at the ppwk doesn't offer an explanation. they did include an illustration as to amount of travel in the erctor when received and how much after replacement. Quite a bit of travel now. They really did a very nice job!
