If I can get my boat trailer fixed early, might get 2 days of trolling for Muskies in Lake chautauqua.
Lots of big (48+) muskies there, and lots of weed thickets. tough on my lures, but I use bolt cutteres to cut the hooks of lure as fast as possible the use 10 inch needle nose pliers to pull out hooks bends. Hate to over stress a muskie. I always catch-n-release.

Is it ok if the muskie over stresses you?
Most folks around here flip them on their backs so they don t get torn up by the teeth. Fun to hook them. Best when they spit out the hook at the bank or side of the boat. Good look and gone. No hooks and no teeth. The picture is in my head.

righton jsg, boatside instant hook release. Saves my lure, my hands, and the fish.
I do bent down the barbs on all my hooks, from trout to muskies, to bass and to sharks. Keeping proper line tension is all that is needed. starting to love circle hooks.

Just over minimum. 40 inches here. Big to get it out of the hole though. Wonder if he pulled and pulled to get it out and when it finally popped free it shot out and got stuck in the grill of his car?.....hmmmmm.....
