Montana wildlife officials on Tuesday advanced plans that could allow grizzly bear hunting in areas around Glacier and Yellowstone national parks, if states in the U.S. northern Rockies succeed in their attempts to lift federal protections for the animals.

Big smileThumbs Up
I'm afraid if they do it will be a bidding war and only rich people will be able to do it.
When I was a KID we just bought a "bear" license
And if you got a grizzly then you had to get a "Trophy" license, I think it was like $5 but you had to show the grizzly at the FWP.

It has been tried before, To easy to file for a stop and just wait out public opinion.Angry

They have been trying to do a Grizz hunt here for several years.

Every year some out of state liberal judge puts a stop to it right before the season opens.

From what I'm told, The area around Yellowstone has above the "objective" numbers of bears. I assume this like the wolves is hard on the elk population.

Think they will start at areas farther away from yellowstone and Glacier,  those bears ae easier seen as nuiscance critters, and not park pets.

Probably not in my lifetime...but my griz is already hanging in my den.

They certainly need thinning out up there. But, as stated, I'm sure some handpicked judge will put a stop to it. As far as tags, I think it will be pricey, more than us "average" working dudes can afford.

Just take my word for it guys. My ex is not a trophy and should be avoided if possible. Hunting her down and any kind of mounting should be done at your own risk! Don't understand why you would feel a need or want, but I guess......

LOL
...oh yeah! thats gonna hurt!
