lapping?

   Perusing other threads and topics and a conclusion popped into my head. Why has no gun manufacturer ever figured out that if they did a good lapping and factory break in, many of the issues folks have with their products could be eliminated. Other then Weatherby and Magnum Research I can't say I've heard of any others doing this. Even that is very limited.
