No turkeys.  temp droped to 29.  Moon did come up and helped me set up at 4:45am.

Saw one buck, came up and licked one of my turkey decoys...true love??

Saw 2 wood ducks, 90+ noisey geese, 1 tree Rat. lots of song birds.

a pretty day, had to quit at noon as that is end of legal hunting hours.

I have 2 turkey decoys that move life like.  think the movement brings the deer in.  Hunting turkey with arrows, would have been about 6 easy deer shots in the last 2 weeks.

With winds in the 40 mph range last week, I took a pass. Going to try tomorrow.  Good luck.  788

Rain this morning, slept in.  Now sunny and bright.

Can't do more than 2 days in a row of awaking at 3:30aam and then hiking in the woods with bow and backpack.

starting monday, legally can hunt all day.  some afternoon hunts let me sleep in longer.

No sunday hunting, but was 78 oF here yesterday.

Spent the first 7 hours looking for birds.  drove to a good spot.....not a call  by noon.  Buddy drove so we called it a day; drove home and hoisted a few.

Tomorrow I'll be out again.   can't take 2 days up at 3 am in a row.  I even impressed me witha 2 mile uphill hike in the daark yesterday.

out for 6.5 hours today.

Had 6 tom's within  30 yards coildn't get one into the 15 yard archery distance I like for instantaneous kill shot.  One tome spent over an hour circling me at 25 yards...tempting.

One buck.
one bald egale.

dozens of geese.

Had crows light down above my decoys and screem at them for 10 minutes, while a tom was hung up 20 yards from my blind.

For tomorrow is another day!   scarlet said.

Every day you don't get one is another day you can hunt.

It sounds like you're having a great time.
