son got a .nice one with his 270 win ( my reload). i'm still hunting, passed on 5. more on that later.

as the week wears on we have 7 bears out of 14 guys. son's bear is still the leader in the 'biggest bear ' pool.

9.3 has not been fired. food here is good..too much so I only eat late night 10 pm soup & sandwich with mason jar of vodka (ran out of moonshine, should have brought more, Maine is great.

Congrats on a nice bear. Dads are always proud when their
sons do well with the hunt.

Too bad about the moonshine and our apples are just now
coming on but some how I think you'll make out just fine.

Be careful what you decide to not like. Your wife may wear one. Your son may ride one. Your daughter may bring one home. You may have to have one someday.

I'm back in Virginia.  Yoday, I took my 3 year old grandson hunting along with son.  No gun involved; but all in camo.  He 'had to' carry his hunting seat (had a frog on it).  we sat and called.

surprised that he lasted one hour; but we did call in one red fox and a large doe with 2 fawns.  It will be one of my most memorable 'hunts'.

Adams bear was a Maine bear over baits, in the deep woods about 50 miles north of Rangeley Lake.

Wing;

I'm sorry to hear that your advanced age has now proceeded to the point of senility. Have your family pack up all the guns and ammo and send them to me. I'll hold on to them till you get better.
