Gentlemen:
Checking to see if anybody has experience with these bullets? Would you use them for hunting deer? Got a new Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 and have plenty of the 240 grain bullets (not gas checked), and want some opinions. Thanks |

....At 240gr.s, seriously? If they shoot accurately and you keep the velocity up, there is no reason they wouldn't work even up to bear size critters.
Unless you plan on shooting through concrete walls to hit them, then I'ld say move up to the 300gr.+ range Edited by jsgbearpaws1 |

Those are hardcast bullets. They would go through three deer end to
end lengthwise. You want a soft lead or expanding bullet that will transfer it's energy to the target. DD |

You could hollow point the hard cast to make them expand. then they would be about 225 gr and moving faster with less barrel rise.

Fella's; No experience with 'em at all. But I agree that they're more for Alaskan bear than Minnesota deer. 900F |

They will work just fine. Because they are hard cast you
just have to change your point of aim. Instead of aiming behind the shoulder for a typical lung shot you aim right for the shoulder. Most people don't shoot for the shoulder with soft points because it ruins to much meat. A hard cast to the shoulder will put a animal down quick and there is less meat ruined than a soft point behind the shoulder. Give it a try I think you will be impressed. |

As you can see from this pic, just how little bloodshot, from pistol shot through shoulder. This was 28yds 45acp, took two steps.
I've got a few with 44mag too, bullet doesn't need to expand, just take out shoulder, the bone fragments, take out the heart and lungs. |
