Hey d4570......not what you had in mind maybe but here is a pic of my "jet boat"........it is a Fugi 1985 era engine with a jet ski type of pump/thurst system.......same type of reverse cover over jet outlet.  Note the "cage/fingers" under the pump inlet for bumping over "things" in the water.  It is on my 14' jon boat by Ranger I use for duck hunting mostly.  With me and the dog and duck decoys etc it will push the boat about like my 6hp Evinrude outboard.  I found the motor in a guys garage on the floor....abandoned....after a bit of discussion, he said it sorta died, we cut a deal.  If I could get it running and liked the way it worked I could buy it at a fixed price. I took it home to see if I could revive it......I did or rather my buddy did.  There was a "welch" plug missing on the carb and the carb was filthy dirty....put in the plug, cleaned carb and we were off to the races......er.....the duck pond.  Now that it is running I just need to send him the $ and it will be mine.  Then it gets a camoflauge paint job. Over &  past the jet motor in the leanto you can see the bow of my 16' AlumaCraft WaterFowler duck boat (it has regular 25hp Evinrude outboard) for bigger water hunts, like down on the Mississippi backwaters by Nelson, WI & Wabasha MN.

NICE!!!

Any jet boat is better than no jet boat!!!

I'll bet you get better mileage than I do too.

Now this is a jet boat !!!! I hope to have one like it someday.

It has a 3 stage "Pump" and a 380 horse Cummings diesel and a 125 gal fuel tank,AC ,stereo,fold out stove,heaters, and a TV/DVD.

Cool boats.  Must be 1/4 to 3/8 al plate bottoms.

I like the Obcession model.  It comes with air ride seats!

didn't think it was hi-jacked....been enjoing the posts.....\keep it going...

used it last fall for some duck hunting.  FAST?...I think it pushes as fast as my 6hp Evinrude outboard does.  Shallow?....If the "finger" guard clears the bottom it will take you thru.....but like most "jets" at least this style with intake at bottom, muddy or sandy bottoms can cause problems I'd think when the dirts goes into the pump system.....weeds too can be drawn into intake and drastically slow down H20 intake, and H20 is what cools this engine and gives it "thrust".  So, there are problems in using it for duck hunting in some types of water systems.  Worked pretty neat on some small rivers we have tho.....

IBD, looks like an 11' 6" alumacraft duck boat that Molly is sitting in? Mine is with me now fishing the flats in Florida, witha 5 hp Merc, runs 21 MPH and gets aboout 25 miles per gallon, runs wide open with me and fishing gear in 10 inches of water.  with motor tilted up is will navigate in 6 inches with a little 'dust'.

I really doesn't like ostyer bars, eh eh
