I just realized I posted 4 post's all relating to the new Redfield scope's. Being an old Denver Redfield fan, this is the most exciting new's in the shooting world I've seen in many years! My hat is off to Leupold for bring back the best scope ever made! Back in the early 70's my best friend was a die hard Leupold fan, we had lots of discussions about which was best. We would again if I knew where he was! |

Good thought Bear.....I concur....but that don' mean it might not be VALUE for the $! Leupold is staking their rep on the new Redfield so I don't think they will put out junk.

If Leupold bought the Tasco name, there would be an immediate improvement in those scope's! I've got a new Redfield, It's all I hoped for!

I actually said it because it is true....AND I think that will be a grest improvement to the NEW line of Redfield scopes. I had redfields in the sixties, and they were the top of the scope in quality. I also bought Unertle scopes in those days. But, in the years before redfield first went out of business, they were just junk, aka Tasco. I have faith that thr Leupold/Redfields will be a quality price point scope. |

In the years after they closed, they made Tasco look a lot better! I've still got two 60's scope's. Worst thing about them is those pressure sensative elevation and windage adjustments. Speaking of Tasco, I bought a world Class about 15yrs ago and it's still working great. I also got a Pronghorn once and shot it off the rifle in no time. Think I just got lucky with that World Class but it's gonna get replaced with a new 3-9X Redfield this summer. |

speaking of Tasco World Class scopes......in the early 80's I bought two Tasco World Class 2x7 scopes. Still have them or my kids do I should say. They were/are good scopes particularly for the $ paid. At one time it was my thought they were the best in their $ class ie pay more get more but pay same get less. These are still bright. Can't say alot about lens from back then cuz now even cheap scopes should be better today then 30yrs ago. Don't have any expriance with current Tasco products. Just ordered a Redfield 4x12 w/Accu reticle....will see how it pans out...from what has been said here it should be good. Very inexpensive as scopes go.
