due to PMs expressing interest in the subject, i've created a forum for "knives, axes, saws and otehr sharp things" and have moved all topics i could find on those subjects (except rolodex and classifieds posts) to that forum.

Fella's;

One of the single most useful cutting tools I own is a Gerber Paxe.  It's the little booger that's so incredibly handy for splitting ribcages & pelvis's.  It fits in any rucksack & has a composite handle, so all the weight is in the steel head.  It's not much to add & well worth the weight in my estimation.
