there's lots of river, creek and stream water around great falls, but any lakes or reservoirs? the closest one that i can think of is holter lake, but i think that is closer to 50 miles away. it's pretty hard to talk mrs. taz into a ride like that!

If you can't get her to go 50mi I think your going to fish belt creek and Thane creek a lot.

very true, D!

one thing (among many) that i liked about lewistown was all of the lakes around there. within 15 miles a guy could fish for just about anything except catfish, and if he wanted those, the missouri wasn't TOO far away!

Just tell the missus that you got the inside scoop that Oprah has been seen fishing in the area.

I am 4 miles from Lake Livingston, about 120,000 acres, and 40 feet from Lake Trinity[aka Millpond], 30 acres.

It's on the west side of GF. Get on the old Vaughn road ( frontage) go out to the Fronter bar, just past the old truck stop, turn left , go over the interstate. Turn As soon as you get across its a tight turn so don't go to far! Then just fallow the road till it ends!! PS its only a mile(ish) and you can fish there too "If" you have a warm water license.

Hey Taz, you can come and visit, I am only a few miles from the Gulf, and only a mile form an inlet. Hoping to get a boat I can take out in the Gulf this time next year.
