Just refilling my vibrating tumbler, about 25 year old Midway. So directions have long ago been eaten by the cat!

How high should the bowl be filled with walnut shells to get best cleaning action???? I usually clean 100-150 cases at a time.

I put 'nuff walnut hulls or corn to cover the brass. Mine is a Midway also about circa 1993...blue tub.

That's a good question Bear. Every time I change out the walnut hulls in mine I wonder how much to put in.

I fill my Midway tumbler to the top of the center plastic part where the bolt/all thread is screwed in.

I don't know if that's right, but it seems to clean brass pretty good.

Another question. What do you use for media? I use the Lyman walnut hulls with the red polishing rouge. It works good but I'm sure their is something better out there.

I use the Lyman walnut with the red rouge compound.  the kurnels are small enough to not hang up in flash holes.

I have a second blue bin, that has corncob with some thin oil added.  I use to use it as a finisher, and it really made them bright and the oil finish was very thin but kept them from tarnishing fast.
