It wasn't for lack of trying but it took 8-9 hunting days but I finally got an elk. 


I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.

It's good to see you Ranch Dog.

I was in the Rochelle Hills in northeastern Wyoming. That's in the Thunder Basin National Grassland. 

I was using a Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in .308. 

I'm not exactly sure how far the shot was. There was a group of about 12 elk. I ranged them at 358 yards and belly crawled about 100 yards closer. My guess is 250 yards give or take.
