Hey, I too have another puppy (German Shorthair ) she is a female and I keep feed in front of her at all times, until 8 o'clock at night. I take her out side to go "potty" but that does not cure all OK.
A puppy needs to be feed more often for the first 8 to 10 months of their life, in order to develope properly understand. I now have four 6 month old pups that have gone to eating 3 times a day. At 10 months I will feed them twice a day until they get to be 15 months old, then it goes to once a day at 5 o'clock in the winter, 6 o'clock in the summertime.
