With walk-in license we get a whitetail buck tag; but doe tags are drawing and limited to specific Wildlife Management Unit.

Today is the 3rd round of drawings, and I have 2 tags already.  There are about 7 WMUs that are sold out, BUT there are still about 250,000 doe tags left in most of the state.  So I'll pick a 3rd WMU  (residert $7).

We can buy a doe tag, White tail any where and mule most places. The kids put in for many other units specific doe tags and got a half dozen each.
I picked up one more for a place we hunt a lot off the surplus list...
I could have gotten a surpluses cow elk tag but did not. I can already get a bull, and cow now, there to much work.
