We are less than a month away from deer and antelope season.
I am behind this year. I still haven't decided what rifle I'm going to use. I'll go through my camping stuff over the next couple days. How are you guys coming along?

We're ready too I think. We all reshot to check Zero's.
I think I'll take Josie and have her shoot the gong at 250 and 300 just to show her she can do it. |

7x57 AI. 24" Ruger
Her Howa 20" Grendel would be just fine BUT the wind and 300 Yards can challenge a 6.5 Grendel.

I have a new camping spot in mind. I might go out a day earlier than usual to beat everyone else to the spot. If someone else is there I'll find another place. I agree that the prairie dogs have moved into our old camp.
I haven't decided yet between the 6.5X55 and a .308. The .308 is a lot lighter to carry around.

Sadly, I've noticed the weight of my rifles for a couple years now.

We can't go back. keep the memories and move along.
Everytime I fish or hunt I try to enjoy it even more knowing next year I might not be up to the task.
