I got a set of thees   ;( http://www.butlercreek.com/products/scopes_flip_open.html ) for my Redfield on the 22/250 a month ago. The last cold snap the back one fell off, I found it, then later that day I had the front one brake off. Is this going to be the norm? Are thees a bunch of crap or just an incident and I should get another one and all will be OK ? There not a lot of money but I don't want to be buying one every month. Before I get a replacement I'm going to try and reinforce and repair the one that broke I have a cover for the scope so you shouldn't see much of the repair.

What says you? crap or good product?

I use them on all my scopes...Africa, Alaska, canada aand heavy brush.  they are a good product overall.  Mine are all flip up type.

they must be a tight fit to the scope piece, I only buy them wwhen they are fitted to my scope in the store, by ME.  lose one will fall off constantly, must be tight.  you can add some black tape to the inside of the cap to tighten.  never count on the stupid store chart to buy these caps.
