Recently we called in a badger.

We kept the hide and skull.
Yesterday I took it out of the freezer and but it in my boil pot. OUT SIDE IN THE BACK.
I let it "Cook" for around 8 hours.
I let it set all night in the water till this morning.
I used my high presser nozzle on the garden hose, I put on the frogg togs tops and bottoms and muck boots. it makes short work of the meat and brain. I did blow out a molar, a K9 tooth on top and one on the bottom, and one tiny tooth on the bottom. I found all but the tiny one. I put it all back in the pot and adder water and borax. I'll simmer them today to help get rid of any odor and grease stains.
Tomorrow I'll set it in the sun to dry thoroughly.
When dry I'll glue the teeth back in and mix up the peroxide powder and booster, Both sold by Clairol for bleaching hair. Funny side note, to get   peroxide powder and booster shipped to me I need a Hazmat sticker, but not for hair products.
I'll paint the resulting runny paste all over except the teeth, it tends to dull the finish on teeth, and wrap it all in plastic wrap. It sits like that for 2 or 3 days, a final rinse and spared with a mat clear top coat. I'll put some pics as I go.Big smile

I painted on the "Hair bleaching paste" and closed them up in zip lock bags to keep them moist.
I'll check them in the morning some times it takes a few days and sometimes I hit them again on trouble greasy spots to get a nice white.

I'll be interested to see how this turns out. I've always wanted to try and do a european mount on a deer or antelope.

I assume it's the same process?

Sounded like for a while, you might be making badger stew.

Maybe, badger soup with rabbit tacos???

Now, all I have to do is shoot something big enough to be worth while.

All it needs now is a good shot of mat clear top coat paint.

Hair product
I just mix a scoop of the powder and about a 1/3 cup of paste.
