The LGD was working a little more.
150 yards is where we have been working, prone and sticks. This was sticks and her hunting load.
I sure wish she would shoot like this on a deer sized target with out an "X". This time I pushed her a little to see if I can get her to shoot faster. It's getting better.
That is one inch tape.
Very hard to complain.Clap

Next outing it will be 175 yards with the deer target.

I've never shot a Grendel, but knw it is a 30 Rus necked down to 6.5mm.

Always seemed like a good round for deer.  What is your opinion of it now that you have been playing with one?  how is recoil compared to a 243??

My boy was so impressed he got a Grendel, Howa with the 22" barrel.
We have yet to kill a deer sized animal but from what I have seen it will be a very deadly round.
The recoil is the same as the Russian or very similar to a 30/30 with a very light bullet.
No where near as much as a 243.
I never thought I would say this about any rifle but I think it is a bit to short for me to shoulder.
Way better ballistic then the 7.62 X 39.Big smile

Ain't nothing wrong with that group.

I'm sure that when the chips are down she'll be right on target.

My daughter, like yours, shoots pretty darn good....better than me.

Like you, I have been standing w/her as she shoots at a critter and thinking....ANY DAY NOW....let's get some lead on them.
