Well I think we settled on a 8x57 or if we can find dies a 8mmx57 AI. I found a reamer. 
The AI speed advantage is not what we're after but it stops brass stretch. I think it will be a 20" barrel. 
What do you think?

I like my 8x57.  double rifle with set triggers.  It is my black bear rifle.

Is a 20 inch barrel long enough to burn all the powder in an 8X57 AI case?
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.
