Fired my custom .270 today , and the RL-22 was a huge improvment over the H-4831. Last week I did the break in with the tried and true load of 60 grains H-4831 under the Hornady 130 grain flatt base. and the same powder and charge weight, with 2 other 130 grain bullets The best I could do was 1.5 while most loads were much worse. So I free floated the barrel. and seated all bullets a little closer to the lands, Loaded some more with the 4831 and some loads with RL-22.  I first fired 2 three shot groups with the 4831 and siera pro hunter. It was awful ! The best was 2.25 inches. and no 2 holes were even close to touching. Next I went to the Nosler B-tip over 27 grains of RL-22. I fired 6 rounds and called 1 flyer, I cut a half inch off the group size. Take out the called flyer and I was at 1.30.for 5  And the best part was 3 shots into .55.  I had to stop at that point beacuse I loaded the Hornady out to far and pulled a bullet out on the lands and spilled 57 grains of RL-22 in my action. But I am very encoraged.I will be sealing up the barrel channel and loading some 58 grain loads with the RL-22...tj3006
