#2 Son gets his deer without even trying hard

Not too much to tell - It was easier and quicker than going to the grocery store. We didn't even get the chance to actually start hunting.

There they were, so we turned in, parked; he got out, crept over a little hill, picked the biggest doe and let her have it.

Congratulations on taking a nice deer.

Hunting is the orchistration of several activities all surrounding the shot experience. Many warm memories are made during the family socialization that takes place in the days before and following the successful hunt. The 'testing' of the meat during the manufacturing process... mit beer, the testing of the sausage as it is being made...mit beer, the steaks brought out for a fry on a day of one of those snowstorms when travel is not an option...mit beer.  Do you remember the day that you got that........

thanks guys -

gary - the jaegermeister is just a tradition that we picked up somewhere. gotta celebrate and commemorate the hunt, so it might as well bewith something thatis a) german and b) good!

sam - you sure nailed it on the head right there ~ the kill only takes a fraction of a second, but the surrounding experiences and memories will last forever .....
