You would think that on the "D's" table for Thanksgiving you would find something like...

Wild turkey,Swan, Canada goose,Turducken, standing mountain sheep rib roast,Elk brisket,or even Pheasant under glass, or venison prime rib. NOPE!

Butter ball or Ham, YUP if I had to chase it ,shoot it or pluck it ,I don't want to eat it. . Turkey is the preferred one of the two but a GOOD ham is hard to beat too.

Normally all the food holidays are at our house, my wife and I are the better cooks I guess, but some times if we do a little 'experimenting on a traditional favorite you should hear the family complain.

The same is planned this year ,Butter ball golden brown, Mashed potato's, giblet gravy, rice and bread stuffing,Yams,Home made rolls, and dread pudding and pumpkin pie for desert. All the rest the family brings, drinks, veggies, pie toppings, ext...

 Good times for all.

Have a great TG day to all...

PS when I was a kid the woman staid home and cooked and we "Men" went pheasant hunting till noon.. Alas the good days...
