All you that have been following the project.
I decided it ran to fast to control on rutted up roads and rough ground. I got a sprocket 4 teeth larger on the track drive end. It should have slowed it to around 11 mph, I have to check it with my GPS but for now it seems much better. Here is a new Vid.

Big smile

.....Had a thought.....just scary I know.  After watching the video a couple times........the sled is missing a motor, game call, gun vise and rod holder for those hard to reach swimmin holes in the back country. Pulls double duty.

The dogg project is looking awesome Dale
...oh yeah! thats gonna hurt!

Looks great.
Just  wondering, would it pull out an elk?

You could test it with 600# of dead weight in the sled.

Most the time we have two guys in the sled, 300 pounds and bullets. It drags us around no problem. Slick Ice is different, even with the carbide cleats every 6" it will just spin.
It has a 420cc motor, I'm thinking with the new ex heavy duty clutch If it can get a good grip it will move an elk. Last year on grass and the wagon it moved me and drug a 4 point Mule deer no problem.

We sold the two Indi snowmobiles this summer.
This year we have 180% of normal snow.
Bear, and Turkey season opens in a month.
It looks like we will have to use the dog or 4wheeler where we can. Most our turkeys are in the mountains or river brakes. Even a MONSTER snow truck is not going in to either.Ouch

Our last outing We noticed there is a lot of snow thrown forward when we are running. That blows back in our face and on to the guy in the sled.
I made a cover to help stop that.
