I think I started that program by not having a lock on my freezer years ago. Now that age is creeping up on me a bit and I think if I really need the animal...(really want to drag a smaller animal). the amount of game is smaller, so I share with my friends who have better seasons/young and willing to drag long distances. Great program on slow years! |

We never have a problem with to much elk meat, every bit extra goes to family members who did not get any this year and need meat. It never goes unused.

Properly prepared and frozen it will last longer than over one season.
We have a deer program "hunters sharing the Harvest"; you get it processed and then give it to food kitchens/banks and they reimburse you for processing costs. got one out there????

I'm serious, if you stab em, I'll slab em. If they've got the guts out, I'll take care of them from there. If someone else gets one, I'll still take other, in pieces and hide on or off is fine by me. I've gotten them before, on late hunts and had hide freeze on, before you got them skinned, it's still doable. My folks love elk, but Dad's 84, so doesn't hunt anymore, I usually take what I can, in checked bag when visiting them, they enjoy it.
I work Fridays thru Sundays, but could come over any other day. Edited by RobertMT - 17 December 2017 at 21:55 |

As with any "Hunting" trip there is a great chance I would not even SEE an elk.
I do have a person that MAY want one. If that does not pan out and if the Christmas gods will. I will try to shoot two and I defiantly will give them to you, If your series. I won't go If I don't know for sure There given away. PS they will probably be in pieces it is a walk in only hunt.

You get an elk or two and I'll drive to the Falls and pick it up for daughter and my folks. Just give me a time and location.
