I liked the Duke in the Shootist when he explained his philosophy of life to Ron Howard.
Also Duke's: "If you can't learn to respect your elders, you'll sure as hell respect your betters" in McClintock as he pulls his mouthy son down off a horse.

Hmmm, lots of good ones. Seeing as how the classics have been taken I'll include some of the contemporary classics.
Doc Holliday in Tombstone - "I'm your huckleberry."
Clint Eastwood in The Unforgiven - "Alright I'm comin' out. Anybody I catch on the street I'm gonna kill. Not only am I gonna kill them but their family and their dog, then I'm gonna burn their damn house down. And you best not be cuttin up any more whores now either or else I'll come back and kill the whole lot of you sons of bitches."
Billy the Kid in Young Guns -
"Best $1.20 I ever spent" after shooting the deputy with a double barrel 12 loaded with 6 dimes each.
"By the way, you're under arrest." After shooting the guy in the outhouse and sticking a warrant in his mouth.
"I see ya got Bill Taylor out there with ya Lieutenant!" "Yeah Billy we got a whole lot of folks out here to take you down." Billy shoots Bill Taylor and says, "You don't have Bill Taylor with you anymore."
Of course I'm going from faulty memory so names, places and exact lines are not based on actual movie lines. Any association with actual names, places and lines of movies is sheer coincidence. LOL.

"Gentlemen, rather than get caught up in mindless reaction, let's draw upon
our feminine selves for a more intuitive solution."
"Can we postpone this duel till 12:05? I gotta use the little boys room."
"Injuns! Quick, pull the wagons into an irregular dodecagon!"
"Y'know, Badlands Pete... a roaring campfire, good coffee, nice prairie breeze, just you 'n' me... what say we put on the rhinestone gowns and dance a jig or two?"
"Let's see... hardtack and pemmican... that's three grams of fat, seven grams of protein, and two starches."
"You 'n' Slim round up them strays, and I'll tell Cookie to get started on the gazpacho and the fondue."
"That's him! That's the yella-bellied varmint who shot my therapist!"
"He was a strong man, a good marshal, and I reckon he had a keen eye for interior decoration."

Or perhaps my all-time favorite from "The Professionals":
J. W. Grant {Ralph Bellamy}: You bastard. Rico {Lee Marvin}: Yes, Sir. In my case an accident of birth. But you, Sir, you're a self-made man.

I am deeply ashamed to be in a group of men who don't have one single quote from Lonesome Dove included here.
I'll simply go with my favorite.
"I hate rude behavior in a man. Won't tolerate it." Cap'n Call just after he nearly beats the cav scout to death for whippin Newt.
Add to that pretty much every line from Gus.

Look P, buffalo!! Let's go chase 'em
You mean go shoot us one for our dinner?
No P, I mean chase 'em because before long there won't be any to chase.
Well them bulls will hook you.
Remember old man Barlow? That bull hooked him good.
Old Man Barlo was a slow thinker, a lot like someone else I could mention.
Well, he was a slow walker after that bull hooked him. I wonder what happened to him anyway?
He married a fat widow and had a pascle of kids on the planko and you might as well have done the same thing since you don't want to chase buffalo.
But I like bein' a bachelor.
That's good P. I'm sure it's all part of Gods plan that you are one.

chasing buffalo didn't work out too well for Gus either...
A few more from Josey Wales
"How is it with stains?"
"I didn't surrender, but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I bet"
"He might as well ride along with us; Hell, everybody else is"
"I guess you were right about one thing. I ain't that old."

A few more from Lonesome Dove
"A man who wouldn't cheat for a poke don't want one bad enough." Gus
"What do you want legs for anyway? You don't like to do nothing but sit on the porch and drink whiskey!" Call
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000380/ - "I like to kick a pig every once in a while. How would I do that?" Gus
"Well the first man comes along that can read Latin is welcome to rob
us, far as I'm concerned. I'd like a chance t' shoot at a educated man
once in my life." Gus
"It's an accident she is even on this trip." Gus "I never noticed you having accidents with ugly girls." Clara
"Well we don't rent pigs and I figure it's better to say it right out
front because a man that does like to rent pigs is... he's hard to stop" Gus

Lonesome Dove is my all time favorite. I own all 4 of them on DVD. I also own one season of it that I never heard of. It was supposed to be a TV series, but I barely made it through the first disc before I decided it wasn't the Lonesome Dove I know...................................Kingpin
