We put the boat in the garage and fired up the heaters.
We just did some wire work on our Mud Buddy.
We added a second battery and a Perko switch.
We took everything except, the motor/ starter, the running lights, and bilge pumps, and fuel gauge.
Everything else is run off the second battery. Trolling motor, three big LED light bars, winch, interior lights, FoxPro, and 3 power ports.
Number one is the starting system and isolates number two, I hope. Number two setting will run everything too, and all I hope is both for when it is -20* to fire it all up and charge both when running. Then OFF is everything. If it rains when there all off I guess it will sink, no bilge pump.
All the connections are soldered and, liquid tape was applied.

All the nut tightened connections have blue lock tight and Dielectric Grease applyed.

Every thing has resetabal brakers on it, no fuses to mess with,Wright or wrong thats what we did.

Sounds good.

thoughts:  I usually charge one batt at a time, seems to work beter and extends batt life, those batteries don't like sharing!

Breakers are great, I always carry an extra one.  Easiler  to buy one now than wait till it poops out.  also carry them in zip bag on-board.

You got enough electrics on that boat...might just need a 10 mile electric cord!!!!

Oversized batts and alternator. Breakers over fuses are great except around water, corrosion in the breakers is a real thing. A little velcro bag of spares and your golden.

Do hope it sorts it all out for you.

Great job guys! Lots of extra work and $$$ for a $20K+ boat!
Wonder why the boat factory who set that up didn't think of all those things???????
HAS Nobody else EVER had the same kinds of issues/problems you guys have had???? Confused

I think everything can be had for $$$$$$$$$$.
The only problems have been the charging system.
I don't know if it is a defect or an insolation problem.
We are hoping when the regulator is fixed right we will never have to talk with them again...Confused
All the stuff we did was extra customizing for our specific use.
I'm coming up with a portable electric winch idea.
One we can use on the front or the back or straight up.
I have the winch I'm working on a bracket as such.
It never ends I guess, what we can spend our money and time on.
